YoussefChahine.us
started as a fan site by Hassan Said in July 2002.
With a 4 page layout, the site grew bigger and bigger as time went by. Now,
5 years later, with millions of visitors, the fan site became the official
website to the great filmmaker Youssef Chahine. Being recognized in
newspapers, magazines and TV shows to be the The site went to win many awards, but its most prestigious award was from movies.com, recognizing the website to be the best official director's website on the web. |

- VERSION 1: launched in early 2002, very simple website, it was the time we thought that was the deep work we can get, but it was the best we can do at the time. We thought it was a big deal at the time lol. Also the URL at the time was, and still current for this site was: YoussefChahine.fan-page.com |

- VERSION 2 (A Youssef Chahine Tale): launched in July 2002, more advance look, with far more feature to the website, it was admired by a lot, we have launched our new forum later that year. We had accidents with the forum so we redone it twice. |

- VERSION 3 (Alexandria Forever): launched in July 2003, top advance web design with flash, java, etc.. The site became so popular with that look and was posted in magazines and on Egyptian Television. The new domain for the website became YoussefChahine.tk, which still currently works. |

- VERSION 4 (The Official Website): launched in July 2004, at that point we have gathered massive amounts of information on Chahine and his work, that double the space and data amount for the site. The website became official and passed a 2 million visitors at that point. New features included shoutout, email, videos, fanlisting, and much more. |
| in between those versions and the current versions, I was struggling to find hosts that can hold up such a large website with the large amount of visitors it receives. So I made small temporary layouts to still be able to post the latest on Youssef Chahine. And today, the current version is 6.0, made in 2007. | |

The site has been online for 5 years, maintaining itself and gathering information from newspapers, magazines, internet sources, and other databases. All the time and effort that went in the website has been done for FREE. However, some expenses are still required to keep YoussefChahine.us alive and online.
